Terms & Conditions:
As explained above, we act as your independent contractors to design the ads, draw the cartoon maps, print and ship you 12,000 24x36 maps. As described above, you pay us our 50% share of the sales proceeds on a weekly basis which you mail with a check attached to copies of the order forms you sold that week and with the ad layout forms. We wrote above that the usual projected sales per map is $35,000. We have had as much as $40,000 and as low as $28,000. We need you to understand that: A) we must be paid our 50% on a weekly basis, B) we need to have a MINIMUM total sales to enable us design the cartoon map, print 12,000 maps and ship them to you. The very minimum that we need to receive to publish a map for you, as described above, is $12,000 as our 50% share. This means you need to sell $24,000 in total as a MINIMUM to close a map and proceed to the next. We cannot publish a map for less than $12,000 (as our 50% share) and we are unable to refund monies we received, since we will have earned our share by designing the ads, proofing them, etc. In the distant possibility that you are unable to sell all the 100 ads and want to close and publish a map with less than 100 advertisers,  we shall need to receive from you a total of $12,000. Anything over and above that will be yours to keep. For sake of clarification, let us say you succeeded to sell only 60 ads and generated say a total of $20,000, we shall need to receive a total of $12,000 of that $20,000 and you keep the remaining $8,000 for your sales efforts. In short, our share that will enable us to publish 12,000 maps will be the higher of $12,000 or 50% of the total sales proceeds you generate. We shall know the final total as we shall be receiving from you copies of each order form. No business that has not signed an order form will otherwise have an ad on the map, right? If you give a Chamber a FREE ad, for example, you still need to  have them sign an order form and show FREE on it. We shall help you design these free ads if that will help you promote ad sales. But the total number of free ads should not exceed five. Parties that could get free ads are: chambers of commerce, business associations, networking groups, etc IF you can benefit from giving them free ads by their helping you promote the map project to their members. For example, allowing you to make a personal presentation to  the group, giving you a letter of support and/or sponsorship, announcing it to their members by email, insert or fax.
